No longer around

I don’t feel like I can keep up with wordpress at the moment. I’m just going to stick with something simple and use Livejournal until I get more into using this site or a little more into something that would be considered interesting. Visit me <—click to get to my LJ

Completed and Rewriting

•April 17, 2010 • Leave a Comment

I finished writing Tribe but I don’t like it. It doesn’t seem possible especially with the age I put Aliyah in. I decided to change it and start rewriting. Now I have a better grasp on what I’m writing I can fix it and make it better. So Tribe is being rewritten. I’m about 14,000 words in. That’s about two and a half chapters right there. When I’m finished with my 10 novels dealing with this world, I’m going to make some short stories to go along with it. They won’t have any real connections with the novels  but it will help with building my world a little more. That will make editing my novels much easier too.

Oh, I’ve increased my goal for the April Fool’s Writing Challenge. It’s now 150k.

Getting Back On My Feet

Well, for the past couple of months I had stopped writing. Life caught up to me and then a lot of crap happened – you know how life gets. I’m now back in the game. I’m currently putting Hush and Half Empty on hold for awhile and working on my Fantasy series. My first one is called Tribe. I’m almost done with it. I have a total of 102k words finished and I hate it. First person isn’t my style. So when I finish it (either tomorrow or Wednesday), I am going to rewrite it all. There are going to be a lot of changes in this novel. Hopefully, after that, I can work on rewriting A Wishing Well.

Here is my new writing schedule:

A Wishing Well

The Puppet Master’s Plague

Jacob’s Ladder

Day 2555

Running From the Rain

The Bloodlines

Aroma of Feeling

Under the Veils

If they aren’t finished by December I will continue with them until they are. Though, I want to write all of my Steampunk novels next year.

Challenges for April:

April Fool’s Writing Challenge – my goal is 100,000. So far I have 82,217/100,000

Working on it!

I’m 2k into my Not Quite Home. I really need to change that title. But yet, I’m making this chapter extra fat for my lack of writing. Sorry again. I’m hoping to have it edited by the weekend. We’ll see. And I’m going to start rewriting Rosto the Piper. It’ll basically be the same. I’m just adding and removing a few things here and there.

Moving on.

I moved. Well, it was sort of forced. I have some much to unpack but right now, I think I’m just going to relax with a good book. This weekend, possibly – nope, not Friday – so this weekend I’m going to write so much that it’s crazy. And I’m going to first start with my fanfics. It may not be part of my JanNo goal but it’s part of my WriYe goal.

Just today, I went through and edited all of me stuff (…or was that last night) for Not Quite Home – a working title. To be honest, I forgot what it was about but after I read it, I really liked it. I’m excited to write it again. As for my other fanfic…well, it’s going through a lot of changes…yeah.

A plot bunny attached itself to my person this morning. I have no how it happened but it seemed so deliciously interesting that I kept it and stored it away for the end of 2010. Yes, I know, I have too much to write as it is but this one is going to bump a few of my other ones out of the running. I haven’t decided what it’s going to be called…but I’ll figure it out.

I’m so tired. I feel like I’m being random. Maybe it’s time for me to go to bed. Night all!

My Novels Ate Me

•January 8, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Well, I sort of got caught up in my writing. I forgot to post. Heh. Well, anyway, everything is going well. My novels are coming along great. Well, novel and novella. Actually, they are coming along better than I hoped. I’m working on the Breaking Outta Your Box Challenge now and I love it. What is wrong with me? I mean, it’s a romance novel. I guess we haven’t gotten to the romance yet. I want this to be a realistic relationship. Not “They-meet-they-fall-in-love” sort of thing. It needs to develop. None of my relationships were a hit right off from the day we met but I do know a lot of people who did start out like that. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen.

In Half Empty, the character is based on me in a way. There are some things that aren’t like me at all. I’m trying to make her as real as possible. She isn’t a Plain Jane; I don’t think anyone really is. There is something unique in everyone or at least something that stands out after you get to know them. So, no, I’m not into the Plain Jane crap. Maybe I’m like this because all of my friends would complain to me that they were too…normal. What the hell does that even mean?  I don’t know. I won’t rant about it though.

I’M SO GLAD IT’S FRIDAY! I felt like the week lasted forever. And now this weekend, I’m going to buy ink for my printer. I’ve tried editing on my computer but I can’t do it. I need to write it out on the paper.

Happy Holidays

I don’t know entirely what everyone celebrates so I figured this would be good.

My week has been swamped with a busy schedule – half of it wasn’t even planned; it just sort of happened. But anyway, I’m hoping to get back in the loop of things. I haven’t been on the internet in a long time so I’m not as addicted to it as I once was. So, I’ll probably be spending a lot of time on here tomorrow, trying to catch up with everything. And I need to figure out how to use my Turntable – though I think I can handle it.

I watched the Sherlock Holmes movie. Personally, I really liked it but I haven’t read a Sherlock Holmes novel/story ever, so I have nothing to compare it too. But I have one that I’m going to start. So yay. Hopefully, I’ll get it done by 2010, but I highly doubt that.

As for the Leviathan (the book I was reading previously), I finished and I can’t wait for the next installment to the book. I highly recommend this book. The second book Behemoth coming out in 2010 (So it says on his blog). I’m very excited about it.

Um…what else? I know there was more. Gah, I’ll post again if I think of anything.
